Welcome to the
ATLAS Physics Workshop of the Americas

This is the second workshop aimed at ATLAS physicists from North and South America. This series of meetings was formerly known as the North American Physics Workshops (see here for previous meetings).

The workshop will be held at Simon Fraser University in Burnaby (Vancouver) British Columbia on June 16-18, 2008.

Tours of TRIUMF, Canada's National Laboratory for Particle and Nuclear Physics, will be available on June 19th for those interested

VIDEO-CONFERENCING: The sessions will be available by video-conference for those who cannot attend but who are interested in the talks. Connection information can be found here.

With the startup of the LHC rapidly approaching, the workshop will focus on early physics at ATLAS and what we need to know to extract first results from the data. The preliminary program includes sessions on Early Physics, Calibration, Triggering, and Computing.

We are accepting abstracts for consideration as part of the program.

We look forward to seeing you all in Vancouver!
