TRIUMF and GSI (Gesellschaft fuer Schwerionenforschung) Darmstadt are two major laboratories devoted to research with secondary particle beam, in particular with short-lived exotic beams. The workshop will provided an opportunity to present the current status of research of both laboratories in experimental and theoretical fields, and will cover related techniques and applications. It acts as an initial meeting point to start future projects and research opportunities.

The workshop will consist of invited talks and open discussion sessions. There will not be published proceedings, but we encourage the speakers to make all presentations available online.
