Victoria is a beautiful location with many activities for companions during the conference. The Fairmont Empress Hotel and Victoria Conference Centre are in downtown Victoria , within walking distance of many attractions and shops.

There are opportunities for companions to join the social aspects of the conference. A package can be purchased for $600 which includes admission to all meals, excursions and social functions. These options are also available for individual purchase. You can add a companion registration or individual options to your conference registration at any time through the online registration system. We strongly encourage you to buy these in advance of the conference, as we cannot guarantee that they will be available on site.

City Tour

On Monday, September 29th, there will be an opportunity for companions to meet over coffee and pastries. Following this, a bus will depart from the Conference Centre for a narrated tour of Victoria to see the historic landmarks of British Columbia 's beautiful capital city.

The registration deadline for this tour is Wednesday, September 25th, 2008.

LINAC08 Cancellation Policy

All cancellations must be provided in writing to linac08@triumf.ca. No refunds will be provided for cancellations after August 31, 2008 . This policy also applies to extra tickets for excursions and social functions. Refunds may be granted for no-shows under extenuating circumstances
