Travel to Victoria by Sea

One of the most scenic ways to get to Victoria is by ferry from either Vancouver or Seattle.
From Vancouver, the BC Ferries run ferry service between Tswassen and Victoria (Swartz Bay). See "Travel - from Vancouver" for more information on travel from Vancouver and YVR to the Tswassen ferry terminal.
From Seattle, there is a catamaran ferry called the Victoria Clipper that sails from Seattle's downtown to Victoria's inner harbour. The Victoria Clipper docks in Victoria on Belleville Street, about a 5-minute walk to the Empress Hotel.
Driving Directions from BC Ferries' Swartz Bay Terminal: Proceed South on Hwy 17 from Swartz Bay terminal. Hwy 17 becomes Blanshard Street at the city limits of Victoria. Continue south on Blanshard Street. Turn right on Belleville Street. Continue on Belleville Street for two blocks. Turn right on Government Street.
