The student category includes: a student registered for a bachelors, masters or doctoral degree, or equivalent diploma, in physics or engineering and specializing in some aspect of accelerator science or engineering.
The student registration fee is $190 (CDN) (deadline April 3rd, 2009). The welcome reception, coffee breaks, banquet and a copy of the Conference Proceedings on DVD ROM are included in your registration fee.
All students must register by logging on to their PAC09 SPMS account at http://appora.fnal.gov/pls/pac09/profile.html using their normal JACoW username and password, and then clicking on the PAC09 Registration link.
Your student status must be confirmed by a letter from either your supervisor, department head, or university registrar confirming your enrollment in a full-time, degree-granting university science or engineering course. You should bring the letter with you to the conference registration desk or, if you are applying for a travel bursary or registration fee waiver (see below), send it immediately to pac09@triumf.ca or by mail to:

All students are encouraged to apply for a travel bursary or registration fee waiver and to participate in the special poster session to be held on Sunday, May 3rd which will provide an opportunity to showcase and discuss their work with active, career-phase accelerator physicists and engineers. Please see here for details. The deadline for applications is December 10th, 2008. Recipients of bursaries and subsidies will be notified by February 2nd, 2009.
If traveling from outside Canada, you may need a visa to enter Canada. For a list of countries requiring visas, click here.
To request a visa letter, you must first be registered for the PAC09 conference. On the registration form there is a place for you to request a visa letter. Please also send an email to pac09@triumf.ca letting us know which embassy you will be applying through, so we can send a copy to them as well.
Your patience in this process is appreciated.
