| LHC Collider Physics
The 21st annual TRIUMF Summer Institute (TSI) will be held July 20-31, 2009. This year's TSI will give experimental and theoretical graduate students and young researchers an extensive overview of topics pertaining to LHC collider physics, including lectures on accelerators, detector design, analysis methods, statistics, as well as the physics of the Standard Model and a survey of the physics beyond the Standard Model that the LHC is designed to find.
The TRIUMF Summer Institute is designed to be very interactive with ample time for questions and discussions. Part of the afternoons is reserved for hands-on problems to help learn and digest the physics of the lectures.
The participants are invited to present their research in a poster session. In some cases .
Participation is normally limited to 40 students. |
