2008-09-11	Open	The University of Manitoba's Particle and Nuclear Physics Group has an immediate opening for a Postdoctoral Research Associate who will work on a contract basis with TRIUMF, Canada's laboratory for Nuclear and Particle Physics. The group's research is focused on exp erimental studies of fundamental symmetries, including low energy searches for physics beyond the Standard Model via parity violating electron-proton scattering at TJNAF (the Qweak experiment), and cold and ultra-cold neutron beta decay experiments at LANL and the SNS, as well as low energy QCD tests using parity violation in hadronic systems at the SNS. The Qweak experiment measures the weak charge of the proton and is expected to run for one and a half years, starting in 2010.
